Anger / Aggression

We all experience anger from time to time, but when it begins to feel overwhelming, difficult to control, or affects our relationships, work or family life, it can be a sign that something deeper needs our attention. Anger may be linked to stress, anxiety, grief, past experiences or feeling unheard, and can sometimes be expressed through irritability, frustration, verbal outbursts or physical aggression. For some people, anger is turned inwards, leading to self-criticism, guilt or shame.

Therapy offers a safe, non-judgemental space to explore what may lie beneath feelings of anger or aggression. Together, we can begin to understand patterns, identify triggers and develop healthier ways of expressing emotions. Therapy may include learning emotional regulation strategies, improving communication, exploring past experiences and building self-awareness, helping us respond rather than react and develop more positive relationships with ourselves and others.
