Therapists who support parents and families

Natalie Alleyne

With over 22 years as an Educational Psychologist and 18 years in Systemic Psychotherapy, my life’s work is helping young people grow. I also know what it feels like to be the parent when professionals step in. My personal experience showed me a major gap in the system -parents are expected to hold everything together, yet there is rarely anyone there to support the adult behind the child.

This is why I created Envelop. It is a dedicated space to help parents who feel burnt out, lonely, and completely overwhelmed by the daily pressures of family life and supporting our children when we ourselves feel out of our depth. In our work together, your voice and your perspective will always be at the center of everything we do.

I am deeply committed to self-reflection, equity, and anti-racism, and I actively work to understand lived experiences that are different from my own. With me, you will find a safe, judgment-free space to share openly and move forward with real hope.

Lucy Wheen

After earning my psychology degree and doctorate, I spent years in the NHS and local authorities helping families navigate their toughest moments. I have worked closely with parents and children facing heavy challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, and deep emotional distress. My time leading therapeutic services in children’s homes and family safeguarding teams taught me just how much pressure parents carry every single day.

As a former Clinical Lead for a Specialist Autism Service, I have walked alongside many parents navigating the joys and challenges of raising autistic children. My goal has always been to provide trauma-informed, neuro-affirming support, ensuring that both you and your child feel safe, understood, and never alone in your journey.

Now in private practice, I bring all of this experience together to wrap a layer of support around your family. Whether you need an autism assessment or a gentle space to figure things out, I tailor my care to exactly what you need. Please know that whatever you are facing right now, you do not have to carry it by yourself.

Jackie Coombs

As a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor, I have spent over twenty years helping people through life’s heaviest moments. My career includes working in NHS crisis teams and addiction services, supporting individuals through trauma, anxiety, and deep burnout. A major focus of my work is helping families understand attachment difficulties and supporting those who are neurodivergent, including ADHD and autism.

I know that reaching out for help can feel daunting, especially when you are already overwhelmed by the pressures of family life. When relationships feel strained or old, painful patterns keep repeating, it is easy to feel completely stuck. My goal is to offer you a safe, comforting space where we can gently look at these challenges together without any judgment.

Together, we will work to find the root causes of your stress and create a healthier path forward for your family. Whether you are dealing with trauma, anxiety, or the exhaustion of parenting, we will tailor our sessions to your unique needs. You do not have to carry this heavy load alone, and we will move forward with real hope.
